Deramaxx vs Tramadol
Both Deramaxx and Tramadol are widely utilized in the treatment of inflammation, surgical pain, and chronic pain in dogs. However, distinct differences exist when comparing Deramaxx to Tramadol. Notably, Tramadol is not FDA-approved for canine use and is thus considered off-label. In contrast, Deramaxx holds FDA approval for dogs and is utilized on-label. While Deramaxx effectively alleviates surgical and dental pain, Tramadol is limited to the reduction of post-surgical pain. Additionally, Deramaxx is specifically advised for dogs, while Tramadol has applications for both cats and dogs.
