New safety regulations for Machinery and Electrical equipment UPSC

The Global Trade Research Initiative (GTRI) record stated that the new safety policies for machinery and electric equipment will affect home manufacturing by the MSME segment. Recently the Machinery and Electrical Equipment Safety (Omnibus Technical Regulation) Order, 2024, was introduced by the Ministry of Heavy Industry (MHI), which is set to take effect on August 28, 2025.
